About the Artists & Speakers
Tania Tay is the author of the Spellcasters series, writing under the pen name Crystal Sung. As a child, Tania adapted fairy tales into plays for her sister and friends to act in. Now she writes fiction for children and adults, often with a supernatural theme. She has developed a script with BBC Writersroom and her adult suspense novel, The Other Woman, will be published by Headline Accent in May 2024. She studied History of Art at the University of Edinburgh and is an advertising copywriter. She is also a professional cake decorator and used to run cooking parties for children. Tania is British Malaysian Chinese and lives in East London.
