About the Artists & Speakers
Patrice Lawrence is an award-winning author who writes books for children and young people of all ages, often inspired by her Trinidadian heritage. She has been nominated for the Carnegie Award seven times and has won a number of prizes including the Bookseller YA Prize, the Jhalak Prize for Children and Young People and the Woman and Home Teen Drama Award.
