About the Artists & Speakers

Miriam Halahmy writes contemporary and historical realistic fiction for children and teens, inspired by challenging themes. She has published ten novels, in the UK and also in America and has been twice nominated for the Carnegie Medal. Her novel, Hidden, was Sunday Times Children's Book of the Week and Junior Library Guild selection in America.
