Marcela's session combines fun storytelling, games and creative activities. Marcela will discuss her background and writing in a second language and chat about the messages in her books - being grateful for what we have, avoiding comparisons and valuing the things that really matter.

About the Artists & Speakers
Marcela was born in Rio de Janeiro but moved to London as a teenager. She loves writing about friendship, growth and being yourself – or anything that makes her laugh! Her first two picture books, The Queen Next Door and The Treasure were published in 2023, and two more - Bear Vs Dragon and I could be eaten by a Shark! - will soon follow.
