About the Artists & Speakers

Jasmine Richards has worked in children's publishing for 20 years, and was the Lead Editor on the multi-million-copy bestselling series, Beast Quest. In 2023, she received a Special Commendation as Editor of the Year at the British Book Awards. Jasmine has written 15 books for children, including The Unmorrow Curse and The Myth Keeper, and is a screenwriter on Disney's PJ Masks and BBC's JoJo and Gran Gran. In 2019, Jasmine founded the multi-award-winning inclusive fiction studio, Storymix, dedicated to centering children of colour in stories full of joy and adventure. Storymix works with established and up-and-coming writers and illustrators of colour to bring these worlds to life. Storymix projects include Fablehouse, Future HeroAziza's Secret Fairy Door and the multi-award-winning Lizzie and Belle Mysteries.
