About the Artists & Speakers
Helen Peters is the author of The Secret Hen House Theatre, shortlisted for the Waterstones Prize, Anna at War, nominated for the Carnegie Medal, and Evie’s Ghost, winner of the East Sussex Children’s Book Award. She also writes the internationally bestselling Jasmine Green animal rescue series. Helen grew up on an old-fashioned farm, where she spent much of her time reading stories and putting on plays in a tumbledown shed. When she grew up, she wanted to continue reading stories and putting on plays, so she spent many years working as an English and Drama teacher. She now lives in London with her family and a very assertive cat.
