About the Artists & Speakers
Two years ago local parents Emma Barnett and Jeremy Weil had an idea while walking around Brockwell Park: what if their then five year old son could colour in all of the sights and landmarks of his local area? It would be a screen-free way to teach him about where he lived and engage his love of the streets he knew best. Colour in Herne Hill was born, swiftly followed by Colour In Brixton, Dulwich, East Dulwich, Peckham and Crystal Palace. Now their publishing company, Colour Your Streets, is mapping the whole of the UK and has produced more than 200 local colouring books - from Aberdeen to Cornwall. Come along to design your own colouring book and hear about how they go about it.
