About the Artists & Speakers
Coming from a diverse English, French and Catalan background, I truly believe in the power of pens, pencils, paints – and picture books – to open our minds and share all that we have in common, whatever our age and wherever we are from.
After graduating in Chinese and Art History, I did all kinds of jobs from teaching English as a foreign language to copying old master paintings at the Paris Louvre, translating art books and working with bilingual kindergarteners before I began to write and illustrate books inspired by my two children.
Teaching for over a decade in art school, I still love working with both adults and children, encouraging everyone to create, play with colour, and explore and ask questions to spark ideas, including stories about our prehistoric ancestors.
